WAKAN Sunglasses

The WAKAN Shades are a refined eyewear design shaped by place, proportion, and restraint. A considered object created as a natural extension of the HAKTHELABEL design language.

Named after Wakan (وكان), a mountain village in Oman set along the Western Hajar range, the design reflects a sense of elevation, openness, and stillness. The reference is subtle rather than literal, expressed through clarity of form and quiet confidence rather than ornamentation.

Defined by a clean hexagonal lens shape and a lightweight metal frame, the silhouette balances structure with ease. The form is modern and architectural without feeling rigid, allowing the shades to sit comfortably on the face and move naturally between environments.

A subtle Shahad detail appears above the lenses and along the arms. Introduced in the Wahiba jewellery collection, the pattern functions here as a quiet design signature, linking the shades back to the brand’s jewellery origins.

WAKAN is designed as an everyday object. Functional, intentional, and understated, made to be worn often rather than reserved for occasions.
